Instead of queuing at the airport, travelers can complete their visa application online before departure by uploading their passport copy, a recent photo, and paying the fee securely. Once approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email that you simply present to immigration upon arrival. The visa allows a 30-day stay, extendable for another 30 days, and is valid for entry through major airports such as Jakarta and Bali. While travelers can still opt for a Visa on Arrival at the airport, applying in advance ensures a smoother, faster entry process.

FAQs

Yes, the e-VOA is simply the online pre-approval for the Visa on Arrival. It lets you skip paperwork at the airport. Upon arrival, you’ll show the e-VOA and get your visa stamped in your passport.

You can stay for 30 days initially. If you wish to stay another 30 days, you can extend the visa once (making 60 days total). You must exit Indonesia after that unless you have a different visa.

Most major international airports (like Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya, etc.) and seaports accept the e-VOA. We will confirm your entry point is eligible – popular tourist entry points definitely accept it.

If you stay in the airport transit area and leave on a connecting flight, you may not need a VoA. But if you plan to exit the airport or have a long layover (over 24 hours), an e-VOA is recommended.

The e-VOA validity is usually 90 days from issuance to make your entry. You can enter Indonesia on any date within that validity. Once you enter, you get a 30-day stay. Should your trip extend beyond its validity, you must apply for a new e-VOA.
